Kenya Tour Package Duration : Destinations : ![]() Your African holiday tour can incorporate either South Africa or just East Africa, but for the Best African Experience we offer you a popular 10 day combination fully guided tour plan itinerary to get you started. On the South African tour portion you can elect to selfdrive thereby saving on guide costs. The tour may be run in reverse order to that shown. The following is based on 4 travellers, being two couples sharing. Day 1 : arrive Cape Town. Meet & Greet Transfer to your Victoria & Alfred Waterfront 5* Hotel. Depending on arrival time certain activities may be possible. The Cape Town V&A Waterfront is the main tourist area abounding with shops, restaurants, boat trips, aquarium and many other attractions. Overnight Cape town B D Day 2 : A day in and around Cape Town and Peninsular. Activities will be subject to prevailing weather. Cable car trip up Table Mountain, Tour of Cape Peninsular Nature Reserve and Cape Point, Boat trip out of Hout Bay to Seal Island, visit Boulders Beach penguin breeding colony. Overnight Cape Town B D Day 3 : Morning tour of Stellenbosch, the winelands capital of South Africa where guests can sample and order wine to be shipped directly back home. Early light
lunch for guests own account if required on a wine farm. Continue inland to
the ostrich capital in the Small Karoo town of Oudtshoorn, arriving late afternoon.
Overnight Oudtshoorn B DDay 4 : Depart for Knysna after a morning tour incorporating Cango Caves, Cango wildlife Ranch, ostrich farm, and onto Knysna on the Lagoon arriving late afternoon. Your 4* Hotel overlooks the Knysna marina. Overnight Knysna B L D Day 5 : Knysna and around. Depending on the season we either do - A lagoon cruise and nature trail through the fynbos on the Western Head entrance to the lagoon. OR between mid-June to mid-Nov we do a boat-based Whale Safari out to sea. Afterwards we visit Monkeyland for a fascinating one hour informative and educational guided walk with the small monkeys in their natural habitat. Overnight Knysna B L D Day 6 : Guided tour only - You board the last scheduled steam train in South Africa for a two and a half hour trip to George crossing the Knysna lagoon, steaming on through the forests, crossing rivers and the Kaaimans River mouth bridge. Your guide collects you and transfers you to George airport for your flight to Nairobi via Johannesburg Overnight Nairobi B, Dinner on flights Day
6 - You board the Friday 14.00 flight to Johannesburg, connecting with the
evening flight to Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi at 23.55Day 6 - Arrival Jomo Kenyatta Airport, Meet & Greet your guide and transfer to the historically famous 5* Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi B Day 7 : After breakfast you check out and your guide takes you north to the Aberdare Country Club for lunch. After lunch, you will be transferred to the Ark Tree Hotel. The lodge is built on stilts and overlooks a waterhole. The game viewing is done from your balcony and the wildlife come to you! The Ark is the best tree hotel in Kenya. Overnight The Ark B L D Day 8 : Transfer back to the Aberdare Country Club to collect your excess luggage before driving to the northern frontier district of Samburu, game drive to the Samburu Serena for lunch. Afternoon game drive hoping to see the herds of elephants which have made Samburu so famous. Overnight Serena B L D Day 9 :Spent exploring Samburu and Buffalo Springs reserves and viewing wildlife. With its dramatically stark scenery, the winding Uaso Nyiro river and riverine
vegetation giving way to the semi-desert scenery with the distinctive Doum Palms
and their backdrop of the blue mountains of the Wharguess and Ololokwe this
is one of the most beautiful game reserves in Africa. Overnight Samburu. B DDay 10 :Game drive leaving Samburu and heading for the famous Mount Kenya Safari Club, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure to explore the beautiful gardens, visit the game sanctuary or enjoy a game of golf with Mount Kenya in the background!
