What you can expect from this 5 day Serval Safari ?

Enjoy an unforgettable adventure in the heart of wondrous Kruger National Park while residing in lavishly equipped lodgings. The highlights of your stay at Plains Camp and Rhino Post Safari Camp include the knowledge you have gained about the Shangaan culture and the luxury of viewing various game species in their natural habitat. Enjoy ethnic African cuisine in tranquil settings.



Your safari starts at the Airport Grand Hotel in Johannesburg at 8.00 am where you will be picked up in a luxury sprinter for the drive through the rolling hills of Mpumalanga to the Kruger Park where you will arrive around 1.00pm. You will be met by your guide who will drive you to the lodge in an open safari vehicle. At the lodge you will be greeted by warm smiles before heading to your rooms to freshen up. Built in true pioneer tradition Plain's Camp reflects the ambience of a 19th century naturalist's rest. Offering 4 African explorer-style tents secretly tucked away in an Acacia Knobthorn thicket, the camp overlooks the spectacular Timbitene plain, and game can be viewed from the swimming pool. An Africana book collection and treasures from another era weave the spell of olden days.


Guests staying at Plains Camp can explore the 12000ha private wilderness area in the Kruger National Park. This tented camp only has a total of 4 tents - 8 people - on this immense area. This is the only wilderness area in the Kruger Park to be given to a private operator. Sharing a common boundary with the famous Mala Mala Game Reserve for 14 km (8.7 miles) is a sure indication that you will see an abundance of game. The area is situated 20 minutes from Skukuza, the heart of the Kruger National Park, so getting there is easy by air or by road. At Plains Camp you will be welcomed with broad smiles and refreshing cold fruit juice. You will settle into your comfortable safari tents and after refreshments set off in the late afternoon on your first game walk where you can come face to face with Africa's Big Five and other game species. You will spend the evening around the campfire, enjoying fabulous cuisine. There is a spotlight on the wooden deck which you can use to check which animals are drinking at the waterhole.
