eclectic cultural mix and her widely varied landscapes - many of which you'll
see on this fascinating and exciting journey.
Day 1: USA or Canada - Cape Town, South Africa
Depart from the USA or Canada by overnight flight to Cape Town.
Day 2: Cape Town
We are met in Cape Town and transferred to our landmark hotel in time for
a traditional afternoon tea. Tonight our Tour Director provides a briefing,
followed by a welcome dinner. Mount Nelson Hotel D
Day 3: Cape Town
We tour South Africa's "Mother City" and ride a cable car to the
top of Table Mountain (weather permitting). We also delve into some recent
political history with a visit to the District Six museum. Mount Nelson Hotel

Day 4: Cape Town
Cruise from Cape Town to Robben Island, where a private tour with a former
inmate brings to life the history of this prison. Mount Nelson Hotel B,L
Day 5: Cape Town - Cape Point - Stellenbosch
Driving along the scenic coastline, we reach the Cape of Good Hope Nature
Reserve and, ultimately, Cape Point. We travel through seaside Simon's Town
and continue to our hotel, located on a private wine estate. Lanzerac Manor

Day 6: Stellenbosch
Today we enjoy the Cape Winelands experience by participating in exclusive
wine tastings, cellar tours and a stroll through Stellenbosch, where we view
some of the region's lovely old Cape Dutch buildings. Gourmet meals are also
an important part of the winelands lifestyle and today's offerings will not

Day 7: Stellenbosch - Cape Town - Rovos Rail
We transfer to the Cape Town station to board Rovos Rail's "Pride of
Africa" train. One of the last of its kind, Rovos Rail sets an unsurpassed
standard for train travel - its compartments, meals, scenery and service are
all superb. Pass through carefully tended vineyards and the Great Karoo en
route to the quaint village of Matjiesfontein. Rovos Rail B,L,D
Day 8: Rovos Rail
We enjoy a leisurely morning
aboard the train as it makes its way to Kimberly, where we disembark at one
of the finest Victorian railway stations in Africa and enjoy lunch at the
Kimberly Club. Later we see the sights of this historic diamond-mining town.

Day 9: Rovos Rail - Pretoria - Mala Mala Game Reserve
On arrival in Pretoria, we transfer to the Wonderboom airport to board our
private charter flight to Mala Mala Game Reserve. Mala Mala Camp B,L,D
Days 10-11: Mala Mala Game Reserve
Our safari schedule is determined by the habits of the wildlife that we have
come to see. Among other animals, we scout for lion, cheetah, elephant and
leopard on early-morning and late-afternoon game drives. Mala Mala Camp B,L,D
Day 12: Mala Mala Game Reserve - Johannesburg - USA or Canada
We return to Johannesburg and board our international flight. B

Connect with homebound flights.

A day to seek out the Delta's plains game and predators on game drives and

Day 15: Okavango Delta - Chobe National Park
Depart Chief's Camp and travel to Chobe National Park, inhabited by hippos,

Day 17: Chobe - Victoria Falls - Johannesburg - USA or Canada
Drive to Victoria Falls where you board a flight to Johannesburg and connect
